Surrogacy in Armenia offers a robust legal framework, ensuring that the rights and responsibilities of all parties are clearly defined. Since 2002, surrogacy has been legally recognized under the “Law on Human Reproductive Health and Reproductive Rights.” Once the child is born, the intended parents are automatically recognized as the legal parents, and the surrogate has no claims to parental rights or responsibilities.
Heterosexual couples
Single men
IP should submit proof of single marital status.
Single women
Specifically for women interested in using their own eggs to create an embryo(s).
IPs should submit a notarized letter from a reproductive endocrinologist confirming their inability to carry a child, along with proof of single marital status.
All surrogates are carefully selected from neighbouring countries, as Armenian nationals are not an option for foreign intended parents. These surrogates undergo a thorough screening process, including extended medical evaluations, and must have had at least one healthy child from a successful pregnancy.
During the initial stages of pregnancy, surrogates continue their daily routines at home. By the 23rd week of pregnancy, they relocate to Yerevan, Armenia, to ensure close monitoring by our partner clinic until the baby’s birth.
All Surrogates undergo routine pregnancy tests and periodic blood tests to ensure optimal health.
Generous compensation allows surrogates to secure a brighter future for their families while providing invaluable support to intended parents.
Erase last sentence and instead – The support granted to the surrogates throughout the journey enables them to build a more secure future for themselves, their children, and their families.

No two families take the same road. Some want the streamlined expediency of a US surrogacy program. Others need the most competitively priced path forward and find it in Colombia or Mexico, where costs can be 40–50% lower without sacrificing quality.
